Dormer, born 11 February 1982 was an English actress. Her accomplishments
include winning an Empire Award, and receiving nominations for a Critics'
Choice Award along with two Gemini Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Her birthplace was in Reading, Berkshire, Dormer made her mark in the role of
Anne Boleyn on the Showtime show The Tudors (2007-08), which won her wide
acclaim. She made her stage debut with Sweet Nothings (2010). In Madonna's
W.E., she played the Duchess as well as York. (2011), and Private Lorraine in
Captain America the First Avenger (2011). Her performance in After Miss Julie
(2012) at the Young Vic was praised. Dormer was praised internationally and
received interest for her roles as Margaery Tyrell (2012-2016 on HBO) and
Cressida (2014-2015 on The Hunger Games), of which are among her top-rated
films. She also voiced Irene Adler/Moriarty in the CBS series Elementary
(2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016) and also voiced Onica in the
TV series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). She was praised for her
part in Penny Dreadful City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born on 11 February
1982 in Reading, Berkshire (England), as the daughter of Gary Dormer &
Claire Richards. She is also the sibling of Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
