Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef personality. Burrell was also an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was employed in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a youngster, growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went following her graduation with an English degree as well as a communications diploma in Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute of being a student in The Culinary Institute of America she declares. It was hard to study and do enough or put in the hours. After graduation, chef Burrell spent a time in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine. It had a significant impact on how she views food. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing difficulties. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador who promotes the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her work and passion for cooking. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to be able to share this passion for the food industry with people.
